Community

The Devine Cares Program is an opportunity to align one of our core values ‘Care' with our commitment to the community and caring for others. Devine is dedicated to ensuring we operate in a sustainable, ethical and safe manner in all our operations as well as focusing on the well-being of each other, our clients and partners, our community and our environment. The recently launched Devine Cares Program focuses on giving back to the community and sees us involved in many initiatives which in turn provides financial and personal support to charity organisations and individuals in need or less fortunate. Devine acknowledges and respects the many varied contributions our staff make in their daily lives to a variety of charities, community groups and sporting associations and ensures to maintain our social conscience.

Workplace Giving and Community Engagement Program

Devine's core initiative currently focuses on the Workplace Giving and Community Engagement Program which aims to build stronger relationships with our charity partners. The program includes financial giving, volunteering and sharing our expertise in the regions in which we operate. The program is a great opportunity for our staff to contribute and support broader based community care programs and give back to the community through these initiatives.

Health and Well-being Program

Devine promotes a healthy lifestyle to all staff so we can continually provide a safe and healthy work environment. Initiatives currently include flu vaccinations, entry to various sporting associations, clubs and competitions and other discounted programs and memberships.

Club Red Blood Bank Donations

Giving blood to the Australian Red Cross is an important community service that will allow our staff to do something special. With one blood donation saving up to three people's lives, giving blood is "what costs nothing, but is priceless".

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland

Devine has developed a successful alliance with the charity organisation, Cystic Fibros Queensland, which helps to deliver a significant amount of value in counselling and support services to over 850 Queenslander's affected by cystic fibrosis and their families. Being an active corporate event supporter generates funds for CFQ and is a wonderful endorsement that sees Devine very kindly recognised by the charity's mission within the broader business community. Devine's CEO/MD, David Keir, also takes on a very active role in the charity organisation as the Business Ambassador to advocate the needs within the business community and help introduce persons of influence that are at a capacity to help the CF community.

Wesley Research Institute

Devine's community supporter partnership with the Wesley Research Institute was formed in 2007 to assist in medical research. Our staff also commit time to the WRI Young Advocates program to help research and stage fundraising events using professional networks to gather support.

World Vision

Devine has a World Vision program supporting five children across the globe in Ethiopia, Columbia, Philippines and Chile. This program is focused on building a better world for children and is one of the most powerful ways to fight poverty.

Brisbane Lions

Devine has been associated with the Brisbane Lions AFC for over nine years as the major support sponsor and official coaches sponsor. The support Devine provides enables the Brisbane Lions to further develop the team and contribute to building and sustaining the community through various sporting connections that create and deliver entertainment. The association is also an opportunity for Devine to show our loyalty to sport, the game and the team, promote health and well being and participate in building networks and stakeholder relationships.

Charity House Auctions

Devine has auctioned off a number of homes benefiting a number of charities including the Wesley Research Institute, YoungCare and the Lord Mayor's Community Trust to provide ongoing support for charities that help young people who are homeless, suffering mental illness, disability, drug addiction, trauma, abuse or neglect. Devine and the AFL Foundation have also teamed up in previous years participating in the AFL Foundation Charity Auction for local charities helping homeless youth to get back on track and take their rightful place in society. The initiative provided a huge boost to the AFL Foundation's homelessness project and has seen Devine raise over $500,000 through auctioning house and land package at various Devine communities.

Football Federation South Australia

Devine has been associated with Football (soccer) for over five years as the major sponsor of the Football Federation SA which has over 22,000 registered players. Devine is the major naming rights sponsor of the Senior Men’s Semi-Professional Competitions, the Super, Premier and State Leagues which provides support to the Football Federation SA and enables the organisation to promote the game of Football throughout the community from grassroots to senior leagues.

Devine Victorian Netball League and the Melbourne Vixens

Devine has continued its strong association with sporting organisations in Victoria by becoming an official partner with Netball Victoria, Netball Victoria League Clinics and the Melbourne Vixens. The five year partnership, which commenced in 2012, will see the league called Devine VNL, and also see Devine become the official partner with the Melbourne Vixens, one of Australia’s most celebrated national netball teams. Devine VNL will provide players with the opportunity to attend netball clinics and benefit from coaching by Melbourne Vixen players, VNL athletes and coaches. Plus it will be a fantastic opportunity for additional clinics to be held in key areas located around Devine’s communities.  The Devine and Melbourne Vixens major partnership will help Netball Victoria advance sportsmanship, leadership and the community that surrounds it – the same values that underpin the Devine business.
