Devine releases a further stage of its Redbank Plains estate
Wednesday 19 September 2007
Strong demand at Devine's 'Cedar View' residential community in Redbank Plains has prompted the pro-active developer to program the release of a further 118 lots in October.
The blocks will range in size from 350sqm to 741sqm, and average approximately 544sqm. They will range in price from $139,000 to $163,000.
House-and-land packages will range from $313,000, and average around $340,000. All Devine homes have functional layouts to maximise the amount of useable space, and an easy-care front and rear yard.
Devine has been delighted with the rapid sell-out of the 63 lots in the first two stages of 'Cedar View'. Construction of a major 3.2ha central park, and several water features, is now complete.
The master-planned 12-hectare estate, between Penrose Circuit and Walden Street, will have 181 dwellings when completed by mid-2008. It has been designed along stringent council guidelines to ensure the aesthetic beauty of the area is retained.
Convenience is a key to the success of the estate, with the Redbank Primary School adjoining the site and Redbank Plaza just minutes away, as well as the $600-Million Orion Town Shopping Centre just 5.5km to the east.
"There are great schools and universities nearby, such as the Springfield campus of the University of Southern Queensland," said Paul Nash, Devine's National General Manager of Housing & Land.
Redbank Plains is an emerging growth corridor between the major regions of Springfield, Ripley and the business node of Swanbank. It is only 28 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane GPO and nine kilometres east of the Ipswich GPO.
Devine has a proven track record in the western corridor, having had great success with its 180-block 'Collingwood Park' estate. It is also planning a 600-home community on School Road in Redbank Plains which includes a potential rail link to Springfield and the local commercial precinct.
"Devine is a committed supporter of both the Queensland Government's Western Growth Corridor strategy and Ipswich City Council's draft Strategic Plan," said Mr Nash. "Improving infrastructure - including transport links, major employment opportunities, and localised services and amenities - combined with affordable land is providing very attractive home buying opportunities."
Redbank Plains was once a hidden treasure, but home-seekers have started to realise what the area has to offer and how undervalued it has been. As a result, median house prices in Redbank Plains increased by 3.5% over the past year.
"There is a continuing pent-up demand for new homes within family affordable price points, and Devine is focused on providing community estates which people want to call home to meet this value-for-money market demand," said Mr Nash.
Devine continues to expand its land development business throughout Queensland.
"We now have around 2500 lots under development control in Queensland," said Mr Nash, "and we have plans to significantly increase this number over the next 12 months."
'Cedar View' at Penrose Circuit, Redbank Plains (UBD Map Ref: 235 H10) is open for inspection daily from 10am to 5pm. More information is available on 13 24 66, or www.devine.com.au
