Adelaide's north continues to be in the spotlight with
progressive house-and-land developer Devine fast-tracking the
release of stage two of its 'Lakeside' lifestyle estate at Andrews
Farm.
Virtually all of stage one of the $25 million development - 36
lots - has been sold prior to completion, and the latest stage
looks to be just as popular, with six sales within the first week
of release.
This stage has a leafy reserve within its 36 allotments, which
range in size from 375m² to 535m². They are selling for between
$83,000 and $98,000, with home-and-land packages from $228,900 to
$302,000.
"We've had an overwhelming response from the public and from
other builders wishing to display their products within the
estate," explained Devine's South Australian Manager, Steve
Weightman. "We moved the release forward because of this demand, as
well as to capitalise on the interest generated by the Government's
announcement of a $1-Billion upgrade of this region."
The Government is planning to transform the region known as 'The
Peachy Belt', which embraces the suburb of Andrews Farm. Premier
Mike Rann proclaimed new schools, shopping centres and medical and
healthcare facilities, along with infrastructure and 4,000 homes,
would be built in the area over the next 15 years.
"This massive investment will secure the area's longevity and
prosperity," Premier Rann said.
Mr Weightman said the Government's plans are great news for
everybody living in suburbs in Adelaide's north, or planning to
move there.
"Local councils, community groups and private developers such as
Devine will also play a part in turning the area into a major 21st
Century urban community," he said.
Devine will shortly begin building three display homes at
'Lakeside'. Each will have four bedrooms, two bathrooms and double
garages, and should be completed by June. Civil works on the first
stage of 'Lakeside' are complete, with house construction just
about to start.
The homes will set the architectural tone for the development,
but Devine offers dozens of varieties of single and double-storey
models, ranging in size from 10 to 43 squares. Each Devine home at
'Lakeside' includes around $20,000 of extras, such as landscaping,
turf, fences and air-conditioning - all included in the purchase
price.
"People who are buying here are making a wise lifestyle choice
and a prudent investment because Adelaide's north has an exciting
future," said Mr Weightman.
'Lakeside', on Davoren Road at Andrews Farm, is open for
inspection from 10am to 5pm daily. For more information, visit
