Devine high-rise has plenty of admirers

Devine's imposing 'Charlotte Towers', in the heart of the CBD,
is proving that there is still demand for the Brisbane high
life.
Just 10 of the 416 apartments
remain for sale in the $170-Million, 44-level building at 120
Charlotte Street.
Scheduled for completion by mid-2007, 'Charlotte Towers' is the
first high-rise apartment building that Devine is constructing
in-house.
It has enticed purchasers with its central location, in-house
facilities and recreational amenities such as a private lap pool,
spa, fully-equipped gymnasium and resident's lounge area.
"Residents of 'Charlotte Towers' will enjoy all the privileges
of being in the shopping, dining and entertainment heart of
Brisbane," said Mr Brett Gillan, the Manager of Queensland Property
Development for Devine.
"Businesspeople and working couples, in particular, like the
convenience of living in a walk-to-work situation, and having
world-class recreational and entertainment facilities at their
fingertips."
The apartments remaining include:
* 1-bedrooms (52-62 sqm. internally) from $375,000
* 2-bedrooms, 1-bathroom (72 sqm.) from $484,000, and
* 2-bedroom, 2-bathrooms (75-85 sqm.) from $506,000
All apartments have terraces, alfresco areas or balconies. The
alfresco dining rooms create an indoor-outdoor room where the glass
panel bi-fold doors can be opened to allow the outside in.
Many apartments also have floor-to-ceiling glass to capture the
picturesque views over the river and the CBD.
"The interiors have clean, crisp lines and utilise the latest
fittings and fixtures to complement today's fast-paced CBD
lifestyle," said Mr Gillan.
Quality touches include stone finishes, tiled entries, recessed
lighting, fashionable colour-back glass splashbacks, built-in and
walk-in robes, high-grade carpets, and ducted air-conditioning.
Kitchens throughout are either open-plan or island-style, with
stainless steel appliances.
Ensuites and bathrooms comprise semi-recessed vitreous china
basins. These have been integrated with the latest selection of
ceramic and vitrified floor and wall tiles, glass and mirrors, to
create a neatly tailored appearance which harmonises with the
classically contemporary look.
Apartments have broadband internet access, internal data systems
and connection to pay television.
"Residents can turn their apartment into a high-tech office if
they wish, where they can conduct business, check the latest
stockmarket and financial data, and order services such as home
shopping," said Mr Gillan. "Because each apartment is equipped for
the new technologies it has greater value than more conventional
residences, and is a solid investment in the future."
Mr Gillan said a significant proportion of residents at
'Charlotte Towers' will come from the corporate sector.
"Young professionals like living among the nightlife, the bars
and restaurants, as well as having recreational facilities 'on
tap'," he said.
"'Charlotte Towers' has all the amenities, facilities and
services in the one neat package. This particularly suits the
growing number of childless and working couples, who lead hectic
lives with little time for such chores as shopping.
"'Charlotte Towers' overcomes this problem as residents will be
able to buy their food and groceries nearby, virtually anytime they
want, eliminating the normal hassle of jockeying for a parking spot
and lugging heavy shopping a long distance to the car and to
home."
Since 1991 Devine has developed 1,265 apartments in the Brisbane
CBD - 'River Place' (316 apartments) 'River City Apartments' (221
apartments), 'Cathedral Place' (514 apartments) and 'Casino Towers'
(214 apartments).
Its $171-Million 'Festival Towers', on the corner of Charlotte
and Albert Streets, is scheduled for completion in June. It
contains 401 apartments spread over 41 levels, and has enjoyed
outstanding sales success.
In Melbourne Devine is just completing its $334-Million 'Victoria
Point' mixed-use development at Docklands - the company's debut
high-rise project in Victoria.
And what an entry statement.
The golden landmark overlooks Victoria Harbour to the west and
Telstra Dome to the north, and includes a stunning 43-level
residential tower, serviced apartments, commercial and retail
complex and parking for 620 cars.
