Listed property development company Devine Limited (ASX: DVN)
has continued to build-up the strength of its management team in
Victoria with the appointment of Luke Hartman as General Manager of
Housing-and-Land.
Hartman has been a key member of Devine's national team for
three years, initially as Queensland General Manager of
Housing-and-Land and, over the past two years, as National
Acquisitions Manager.
Devine moved into Victoria in 1997 when it purchased Pioneer
Homes Australia, but in recent years it has begun developing
fully-integrated residential communities. It is underway with major
estates in Berwick, Pakenham, Tarneit and Brimbank, and recently
announced the purchase of a 42-hectare parcel at Cranbourne
adjoining Casey Field's Sporting Ground.
"We are always looking for good-value opportunities to expand
our land holdings in Victoria," said Mr Hartman. "This extends to
cultivating joint-venture relationships where we can use our
construction, marketing and financing skills to maximise the value
of the project.
"Our focus is on creating integrated housing communities that
provide a total lifestyle solution for first and second home
buyers, close to desirable amenities and transport."
Mr Hartman said Devine was confident about the short and
long-term strength of Melbourne's property market.
