Devine is averaging four sales per week at its 'Lakeside' residential community at Andrews Farm.

The release of its latest stage - the fourth of five - has sparked even greater interest than expected. Devine's South Australian State Manager Steve Weightman puts this down to the fact that the frenetic building activity on site is creating a sense of urgency among potential purchasers.

"There are around 45 homes completed or under construction, reserves and public spaces are being beautified, and people can see the estate taking shape," Mr Weightman said.

"New residents are moving in regularly, kids are playing in their yards, friendships are being forged, a community spirit is starting to evolve and there is an air of excitement which comes from anticipation."

'Lakeside', on Davoren Road, has a total of 206 lots of which only one-third remain.

"People know opportunities here won't last, so they are acting more quickly than we've seen for many years," said Mr Weightman. "Countless people have been disappointed to find that their preferred block has sold while they were making up their mind. As little as a few days can make a difference."

'Lakeside' has been designed along stringent council guidelines to ensure the aesthetic beauty of the area is retained. The homes co-exist with the surrounding open spaces, significant stands of trees, and waterways.

Eight different builders are using 'Lakeside' to showcase their house designs. Most of these should be completed by Christmas.

Remaining in the 4th stage at 'Lakeside' is land from $86,000, and home-and-land with landscaping from $187,900. The final stage is expected to be released in December.

"We have tailored our pricing to meet the big influx of young families moving to the area," said Mr Weightman.

"Andrews Farm is close to the high employment centres of Elizabeth and Playford, which contribute around 70% of the State's manufacturing. It is a convenient, well serviced area with at least 10 primary and secondary schools nearby, while Adelaide's CBD is easily accessed by road and train services."

'Lakeside' is open for inspection on weekends from 2pm to 5pm. Additional information is available on Ph: 132 466, and www.devine.com.au.
