The sales success of stage one of Devine's 'Cedar View'
residential community in Redbank Plains has prompted the pro-active
developer to push ahead with a further release of house-and-land
packages.
This latest stage will comprise 45 lots, ranging in size from
391sqm to 1,159sqm, and averaging approximately 530sqm.
Devine has been delighted with the response to the first 18 house and land
packages released at 'Cedar View', a master-planed 12-hectare
estate between Penrose Circuit and Walden Street. All Devine homes
have functional layouts to maximise the amount of useable space,
and an easy-care front and rear yard.
'Cedar View' will have a major 3.2ha central park, adding to its
attractiveness for families. Convenience is also a key, with
Redbank Plaza just minutes away, and the $600-Million Orion Town
Shopping Centre 5.5km to the east.
"There are great schools and universities nearby, such as the
Springfield campus of the University of Southern Queensland," said
Scott McIntosh, Queensland State Manager of Housing & Land for
Devine.
Redbank Plains is an emerging growth corridor between the major
regions of Springfield, Ripley and the business node of Swanbank.
It is only 28 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane GPO and nine
kilometres east of the Ipswich GPO.
Devine has a proven track record in the western corridor, having
had great success with its 180-block 'Collingwood Park' estate. It
has also secured a massive site on School Road in Redbank Plains
capable of yielding approximately 600 dwellings, which includes a
potential rail link to Springfield and the local commercial
precinct.
"Devine is a committed supporter of both the Queensland
Government's Western Growth Corridor strategy and Ipswich City
Council's draft Strategic Plan," said Mr McIntosh. "Improving
infrastructure - including transport links, major employment
opportunities, and localised services and amenities - combined with
affordable land is providing very attractive home buying
opportunities."
Redbank Plains was once a hidden treasure, but home-seekers have
started to realise what the area has to offer and how undervalued
it has been. As a result, median house prices in Redbank Plains
increased by 10% over the past year.
"There is a continuing pent-up demand for new homes within
family affordable price points, and Devine is focused on providing
community estates which people want to call home to meet this value
for money market demand," said Mr McIntosh.
Devine continues to expand its land development business
throughout Queensland.
"We now have around 2,400 lots under development control," said
Mr McIntosh, "and we have plans to double this number by 2008."
'Cedar View' at Penrose Circuit, Redbank Plains (UBD Map Ref:
235 H10) is open for inspection daily from 10am to 5pm. By early
March a new display centre will open in Hallets Road. More
