Buying with Devine is Twice as Nice

A BRISBANE couple has decided that buying a second apartment is twice as nice when you buy from the same developer.

Jessica Abram and Michael Holmes have purchased a new apartment at Devine’s Mode apartment complex in Newstead, two years after purchasing an apartment at Devine’s DoubleOne 3 complex in Teneriffe.

“We liked DoubleOne 3 and because Mode is from the same developer, we kind of knew what we were getting,” Jessica said.

“Our new apartment at Mode is quite similar to our current one, but it has a slightly bigger floor plan. It’s on the ground floor so we will have a courtyard to entertain our friends and somewhere for our dog Hugo to play.

“We really liked Mode’s location near the Gasworks plaza, and the building’s amenities, which include a rooftop terrace.”

As they are both young professionals – Jessica is in the army and Michael is a government advisor – they believe apartment living suits them down to a tee.

“It’s easier for us to have a place that is low-maintenance and close to the city. If you want to go away, you can lock it up and it’s secure.”

Choosing to buy with Devine again was an easy choice.

“We like Devine – the company still offers really good service and even though you are buying off the plan, you can still customise your apartment. We moved a few internal doors, but we have kept everything else basically the same.”

Jessica and Michael have put their DoubleOne 3 apartment up for sale and plan to rent for a while before moving into Mode next September.

Upon completion, Mode will feature 157 apartments over 12-storeys.

Mode is located on the fringe of Gasworks Plaza, featuring more than 30 retailers including a full-line Woolworths, restaurants and cafes, a gym, chemist and boutiques. The James Street and Emporium lifestyle precincts are also nearby.

Mode is only 100 metres from the Brisbane River, with its parklands, bikeways and walkways. Access to the Brisbane CBD is easy, with the CityCat ferry and City Glider terminal 350m away, with direct links to the city and three major universities.
